Blaze von Basel is an adorable 4-5 month-old shepherd (mix?) puppy with soulful brown eyes and classic shepherd coloring.  Our lucky little Blaze is enjoying life in a foster home while he waits to meet you, and his foster mom wants to tell you all about him: 

Blaze is such a joy to have in our home!  He’s quite the snuggle bug, enjoying head and chest scratches above all else.  He quickly made pals with our two older shepherds, enjoying every minute of fun play and learning home etiquette from them – including where he should ‘do his business’.  Blaze is soooo smart -- he learned the dog door within minutes (no kidding!) and quickly understood new commands like ‘sit’ and ‘come’.  He’s eager to go for walks and politely greets the two-and-four-legged friends he’s made in the neighborhood. He saves plenty of kisses for the grandkids who can’t wait to come over for a hug and to snuggle, and he gently takes treats from their hands. We are in awe of his eagerness to please us, which includes sleeping quietly all night with the rest of the pack in our bedroom. Although we don’t have a cat, Blaze has walked past several kitties in the neighborhood without batting an eye, so we are guessing that he would be polite to your kitty as well. He enjoys playing in a pack, so if you already have a companion for him in your home that would be ideal. If you are looking for a cuddly and fun-loving guy who is nearly a ‘turn-key’ puppy, you’ll be thrilled to meet Blaze!
